I've come to the conclusion that I don't like Mondays. I think the reason is that I have Fridays off which makes my weekend just that bit more enjoyable and as a result I never like returning to work.
I'm sure I'm not the only one.
So being one that always tries to look on the bright side I have given some thought to the reasons why I should feel cheerful.
1) I have my health. The odd twinge sometimes gets me down but with the help of a good Chiropractor I am coping well.
2) I have a loving and helpful family who encourage me and allow me to live an authentic life.
3) I have a job which pays enough to allow me to do pretty much what I choose to do.
4) I have a roof over head which remains watertight and cosy.
5) I have a Blog which is proving to be very satisfying and of which I am very proud.
6) I have a lovely group of people who are proving what true friendship is all about. These have come about from my stall and Knit and Natter group.
7) My photographs are to be used on the website for Eastfield Farm, Tickhill, Doncaster following my visit last year. I was very flattered.
8) I have been asked to review a new ebook about lace knitting and can't wait to share my findings.
9) I have lots of different hobbies which keep me busy and make my free time a joy.
10) Monday is out of the way.
There I think I have enough things to be cheerful about, don't you?

Pansies in a Vintage Tea Cup
I have been trying to bring Spring in doors and this is my latest attempt at creating something beautiful.
I chose the colour of the Pansies to pick out the flowers around the edge of the china cup and saucer I was given at the wedding we recently attended.
I wanted to use them in a way that would remind me of the lovely day.
I also put some Tulips in an old brown teapot.
It's surprising what you can do with a little imagination.
Have a lovely bank holiday Monday.

The Last Snowdrops
I had to go to the dentist the other day. Nothing serious, just a check up, and as I passed by the church yard in Retford I spotted a few clumps of Snowdrops.
The majority of them had gone over and looked very bedraggled however I was able to capture the delicate beauty of just a few.
It never fails to amaze me how brave these little fellows are. Pushing their way through the hard, frosty ground, usually to be greeted by inches of snow.
If a flower could get a medal for courage the Snowdrop would get my vote.

Keep Calm and Carry On
At last I'm back. I've had one of my headaches this week starting Tuesday night and finishing Friday afternoon. Unfortunately that then gave way to one almighty head cold so I am not feeling all that great today. Never mind though the show must go on even if I am feeling very sorry for myself.
There was no work for me Thursday or Friday as I was too poorly and the stall proved harder than usual. We had a narrow boat booked for yesterday as a present to our Mums and Nanna for Mothers Day and this also got cancelled as the possibility of giving them what I have at their advancing years would have been irresponsible to say the least. So yesterday passed slowly with hubby mooching around looking like an accident waiting to happen.
I'm back at work today feeling worse than I did last week but due to the level of work at this our busiest time I will return like the good little soldier ready to face the criticism that no doubt I will receive when everyone in the office is sneezing and blaming me for passing on my germs. As you will notice I am not my cheerful self today.
Anyway before I have you crying in to your cornflakes here are a few Spring flowers to cheer us all up. I took these in my garden. As you know I love Spring flowers best of all and these are wonderful. The colours just ring out don't they?
This week will be a busy one with Knitting Club tonight, Violin lessons tomorrow night, Mothers Union Wednesday and Quilting Thursday.
Keep Calm and Carry On - I have every sympathy with the person who came up with that well used saying.
Thanks for dropping by. I promise to be in better humour next time.

All things bright and beautiful
Yesterday was such a lovely, bright almost Springlike day that it inspired to look for and appreciate the colour in my life.
I love spring flowers. My indoor daffodils have just gone over I'm afraid. I prefer to grow the little miniature types but I had two pots of the large ones bought for me as a present. I forgot to stake them so they have gone all top heavy. They are beautiful all the same.
I have just received my latest order of Cygnet wool. The colours are fantastic and the quality is top class.
One of my competitors told a customer of mine that the reason my prices are so low is that I sell rubbish. That sounds to me like someone who feels threatened. How sad that they have to resort to slander to keep their customers!
